Wat Chom Si is regarded by Laotians to be one of the most sacred places in Luang Prabang and tourists are often asked to dress decently, avoid making loud noises or engaging in arguments at the summit of Mount Phou si. The Wat Chom Si temple sits atop Mount Phou si and enjoys spectacular views of Luang Prabang.
