Requests for help from a sysop or bureaucrat (at Meta-Wiki only)

Meta-Wiki has a small active community. When a normal user requires the assistance of an administrator or bureaucrat for some particular task, it is not always easy to find one. This page helps users find one when they need one; asking specific admins directly via their talk pages is one way to elicit a fast response. It is only for assistance required at Meta-Wiki, help for other wikis needs to be requested at those wikis.

• Before posting to this page, make sure your comment doesn't belong at one of these specific request pages:
  • Requests for (translation/central notice/interface) adminship on this Meta-Wiki
  • Requests for CheckUser information on this Meta-Wiki
  • Requests for oversight of edits on this Meta-Wiki
  • General requests for permissions on other wikis

• Import is currently enabled in this wiki from some projects. From other wikis, you will need to copy and paste your materials by hand but please remember to add a link, as a permanent link, and the history of the page being imported in the edit summary to avoid copyright violations.

Can you please use our mailing list to notify global renamers of this discussion and give some more GRNs a few days to comment on that? The discussion only got 9 people participating - and not all of them are GRNs, considering the number of global renamers (currently 90+) this is not much.

@TenWhile6, this whole proposal has been open for enough days and has received enough participation, IMO, so waiting for a few more days is not necessary. You can close it. – DreamRimmer (talk) 14:48, 29 November 2024 (UTC)

It was open, but not every global renamer is actively and closely looking at SRUCs talk page or their meta watchlist.

We are discussing a relevant change and there is no rush, no urgent issue. Imo the participation is low compared to the changes we're discussing.

I'll close it on 10th december, then it was open for a month. Please use the mailing list to notify our colleagues, thats what we always did regarding important renaming decisions (like vanishing...)

This is not an urgent issue. I agree with Ten that you should make an announcement on the mailing list. I believe many renames might not have noticed this discussion. —MdsShakil (talk) 15:02, 29 November 2024 (UTC)
