[编辑]2020年12月，扎克·迪恩的一份剧本《禁谷》（The Gorge）被透露为当年最受欢迎的未制作好莱坞黑名单剧本[1]。2022年3月，宣布斯科特·德瑞克森将执导并制作电影[2]。8月，麦尔斯·泰勒参演并担任执行制片人[3]。10月，安雅·泰勒-乔伊参演，Apple Original Films获得发行权[4]。2023年3月，西格妮·韦弗参演[5]。
《禁谷》2023年3月在伦敦展开拍摄，制作亦于华纳兄弟利维斯登工作室和威尔士进行[6][7]。
