菲娅·萨班在1998年9月19日出生于英格兰伦敦哈克尼，父母分别是马克·萨班（英语：Mark Saban）和佩内洛普·“潘妮”·博勒姆（英语：Penelope "Penny" Boreham），全家在她五、六岁的时候搬到了牛津。[3][4]萨班后来就读于市政厅音乐及戏剧学院，并在2020年毕业。[5][6]

2022年，萨班在Netflix中世纪剧集《最后的王国》的第五季也是最后一季中饰演主要演员埃尔夫温（古英语：Ælfwynn），首次亮相电视萤幕。[7]同年，她在HBO奇幻电视剧《龙之家族》第一季中饰演海伦娜·坦格利安公主／王后（英语：Princess / Queen Helaena Targaryen），该剧是《权力的游戏》的前传，改编自乔治·R·R·马丁小说《血与火》的部分内容。[8][9][10][11][12][13][14]她的演出表现得到同剧另一演员奥利维亚·库克的称赞。[15]萨班随后被确认加入《龙之家族》第二季的演员阵容。[16][17][18]
