美國勞動法

美國勞動法是美國一系列規範美國雇員、美國工會雇主之間的權利和義務的法律[1]1938年公平勞動標準法規定了美國全國的最低工資,但在29個州和華盛頓特區,該標準更高。不過目前沒有聯邦法律、也沒有州法律就帶薪假期或帶薪產假與育嬰假有過規定。[2]

美國一些僱員為了加強談判實力,獲得更好的待遇,進而組織工會與僱主進行集體協商克萊頓反托拉斯法保障了所有人組織工會的權利,全國勞資關係法賦予大多數雇員組織工會的權利,並讓他們不會受到不當勞動行為的侵害。[3]

1964年民權法案頒布以來,所有雇主和工會都必須平等對待員工,不得因為「種族、膚色、宗教、性別或國籍」等因素歧視他們[4]1963年公平薪酬法案還就男女薪酬做出規定。[5]
