本页发布暨讨论维基百科及其姊妹计划的新闻和消息，不是拉票行为，尤其我没有指明投票给哪一位其实是相当没有任何理据我在拉票，尤其阁下的说法不符合这个页面的建立规则，你将一个讨论的新闻强行扯为拉票是相当不合理。英文维基新闻社群亦不依靠投票进行因为投票是邪恶的专案工作，包括升级版权，另外怀疑阁下没有阅读相关的通知相关的内容，就是因为即将要被存档，所以请求大家讨论，完全不属于拉票范围，另请不要假定恶意，谢谢。没有任何合理的关闭理由。强烈反对关闭。这完全是属于破坏骚扰讨论，因为本页面就是发布这个资讯用途。这个页面没有说需要一定要发布中文维基百科内部事务，这个是没有任何的社群共识，你这样的言论严重违反了这个页面的创立准则。有关的内容并不违反这个页面规则，本身就是给姊妹计划用的，完全就是扭曲了这个页面建立的初衷。本身页面没有禁止发布姊妹专案，他认为这个属于英文维基新闻内部事务就不能直接在那个页面上面发布，就相当违反那个页面建立的目的。另外，怀疑拉票是否就可以直接存档？我并没有说系投哪一个票，只发布了这个投票的通知，大家可以过去那边投票，而且就算我说投票也没有讲明是投哪个。拉票应该是说叫大家去投哪一个吧。你的任何关闭理由都并不成立。另外拉票的页面讲到明要投给特定的观点，加上尤其这个页面就是给这个用途的，姊妹计划的内部事务，从来没有被禁止发布在这个页面当中，这个页面也清楚写明是属于可以的，我就完全不明白这种行为与不当关闭讨论有何分别。--Kitabc12345 _海南 2024年1月4日 (四) 02:32 (UTC)

另外这个不符合WP:CANVASS#垃圾邮件和过度跨页张贴不加区别的发送通知给并无牵涉到事件的旁观编辑因此你的说法亦是不成立的，亦都没有任何的解释。你需要为此进行道歉。“垃圾邮件：过量张贴讯息给个别使用者，或是给与当前主题没有显著关系的使用者。”显然维基新闻属于维基专案计划一部分，这个页面本身就一常允许姊妹计划的发布消息，并不与维基百科无关，你不应该重新定义这个页面明确标示本页发布暨讨论维基百科及其姊妹计划的新闻和消息。这个页面显然不构成不加区别的发送通知给并无牵涉到事件的旁观编辑。这样的过度解释是极不恰当的，这个页面本身就是发布姊妹计划的消息。你这样是过度用文本分析，亦无助于维基百科计划和维基计划的进步，在这板发布相关内容完全不构成违反WP:CANVASS#垃圾邮件和过度跨页张贴。见不到这个消息发送在这里属于你所说的垃圾邮件分类，因为Wikipedia:互助客栈/消息他清楚地写到明这个页面就可以发布这些消息。Wikipedia:没坏就不要修: 如果问题没有真正发生，试图解决这虚构“问题”对维基百科没有效益。这样对规则的误解是非常地不恰当，我仍需要强调的就是这个维基新闻社群通知升级版权需要你的讨论很明显没有发送通知给并无牵涉到事件的旁观编辑，你根本就不明白这板设立的目的，这一版所浏览的编辑本身就会浏览到姊妹计划消息，并且没有任何问题，难道这一版就是不能发布姊妹计划的消息吗?。你的任何言论不符合WP:CANVASS#垃圾邮件和过度跨页张贴“不论出于任何原因（即便目标并非影响讨论的结果），不加区别的发送通知给并无牵涉到事件的旁观编辑，可以被视为“对话页滥发讯息”（或电子邮件滥发讯息），且属于扰乱”。--Kitabc12345 _海南 2024年1月4日 (四) 04:04 (UTC)

始终 Wikidata 新闻报是由 Wikidata 的本地社群发起，他们社群也认可这做法（至少他们没有反对），就算是有讨论连结，就个人理解不会对他们社群造成困扰。

个人主要的担忧是这次通知可能引来本身不熟悉英文维基新闻的编者参与讨论，为当地社群带来困扰，相信各位也不希望这情况发生。

英文社群本身已要求通知全部语言的意见，只需要说明来自其他语言即可，以确保全体语言都知道，而不仅限于enwikinews ，也包括所有语言的wikinews，不会为当地社群及wikinews社群带来困扰，讨论串大多者也不是当地社群及维基新闻的成员，任何维基编辑发表意见不会影响到社群运作及原先他们发起这个讨论的原意，相关的更新也是由维基新闻社群才可以作出，就算有很差的不熟悉者由社群纠正回复即可，除非违反维基新闻相关守则，不会为别人带来困扰，因为社群可以参与到你的意见，而正正不熟悉就是应该值得讨论的理由，本身讨论没有仅限于维基新闻社群才可以讨论，英文维基新闻好多来自与其他社群，在他们专案上面的讨论包含发布写社论等这些不是由他们的社群成员发布的内容也引起他们的回应，这些不叫困扰，这个叫引起关注，这些都是协助式计划，任何人发表的言论为任何人带来困扰他们也会说的，所以无需避免发生这种情况，因为这种预设假想的情况扭曲了这个相关讨论的原意，即让人讨论关注。我认为这种所谓影响只能说是你的个人考量才进行的操作，本身就没有禁止除了当地社群以外的人的讨论，而且绝对是有善环境当中进行。--Kitabc12345 _海南 2024年1月4日 (四) 14:40 (UTC)

英文维基新闻的讨论社群亦认可这做法（发布在所有语言的做法），他们的社群也去了各语言发布讨论的连结，这个不是仅限于英文的内部事务，你应该详细阅读讨论之后才避免发表假想言论，因为你没有理解当地社群的意见，这项讨论本身就允许来自非enwikinews的人讨论，亦都更已发给全体语言社群参与讨论连结，因此其实与wikidata一样，我不明白你为什么要加（至少他们没有反对）因为事实上他们也没有反对，这种为对事实的扭曲。--Kitabc12345 _海南 2024年1月4日 (四) 14:47 (UTC)

• New request for comments: Community request for the development team to access inverse properties on client wikis. (Summary: We currently cannot access inverse property values on Wikipedia. This can be a data management issue on Wikipedia as we must always ask ourself if we must introduce an inverse property for cases where we need them. So I think it’s useful to gather the usecases community would want and draft a request for an API to the devteam to do that.)

Feminism and Folklore 2024

You are humbly invited to organize the Feminism and Folklore 2024 writing competition from February 1, 2023, to March 31, 2023 on your local Wikipedia. This year, Feminism and Folklore will focus on feminism, women's issues, and gender-focused topics for the project, with a Wiki Loves Folklore gender gap focus and a folk culture theme on Wikipedia.

You can help Wikipedia's coverage of folklore from your area by writing or improving articles about things like folk festivals, folk dances, folk music, women and queer folklore figures, folk game athletes, women in mythology, women warriors in folklore, witches and witch hunting, fairy tales, and more. Users can help create new articles, expand or translate from a generated list of suggested articles.

Organisers are requested to work on the following action items to sign up their communities for the project:

1. Create a page for the contest on the local wiki.
2. Set up a campaign on CampWiz tool.
3. Create the local list and mention the timeline and local and international prizes.
4. Request local admins for site notice.
5. Link the local page and the CampWiz link on the meta project page.

This year, the Wiki Loves Folklore Tech Team has introduced two new tools to enhance support for the campaign. These tools include the Article List Generator by Topic and CampWiz. The Article List Generator by Topic enables users to identify articles on the English Wikipedia that are not present in their native language Wikipedia. Users can customize their selection criteria, and the tool will present a table showcasing the missing articles along with suggested titles. Additionally, users have the option to download the list in both CSV and wikitable formats. Notably, the CampWiz tool will be employed for the project for the first time, empowering users to effectively host the project with a jury. Both tools are now available for use in the campaign. • Newest WikiProjects:
  • Wikidata:WikiProject IBC 2024 - The International Botanical Congress (IBC) takes place once every six years. The organisers of this WikiProject see this conference as an ideal opportunity to engage with the wider botanical community, educate them about the potential of Wikidata and to train them in its use. We will also use this opportunity to improve the data held in Wikidata about the participants, presenters and their contributions to botany.
  • WikiProject Health Data Space - This project is about organising data related to health data spaces, in particular the efforts to create a European Health Data Space. Initially it will focus on Sweden.
• Newest database reports: Differences in birth and death dates - This is list of reports when birth date or death date in Wikidata differs from other sources:
• Showcase Items: Hubble Space Telescope (Q2513) - NASA and ESA space telescope (launched 1990)
• Showcase Lexemes: šťastný (L204262) (Czech) - having luck, fortune, happy. This is our first Czech showcase lexeme and it just so happens to be the largest Lexeme on Wikidata!

Development

• [Breaking Change] We are changing how empty Sense and Form lists are represented in dumps
• Fixed the order of item/property suggestions on several occasions, primarily sex or gender (P21) (phab:T355697)
• mul lanuage code: We are wrapping up the usability testing.
• IP Masking: We continued the work on adapting Wikibase for the upcoming change to not show IP addresses for non-logged in users anymore.
• Wikibase REST API:
  • We added the ability to add a sitelink to an Item or edit an existing one (phab:T342987)
  • We are fixing a bug where badges were missing in the API reponse for sitelinks (phab:T355293)
