懷佩什海豚科(學名:Waipatiidae)為已滅絕的齒鯨小目海豚,生存於漸新世時期的太平洋,也可能包括歐洲及高加索地區。
分類學
[编辑]懷佩什海豚科最初於1994年與懷佩什海豚屬由福代斯一同發表命名,且當時他認為小鯨屬、庫頁鯨屬、索拉鯨屬可能也屬於懷佩什海豚科[1]。此外,原先被認為屬於原鯊齒鯨屬的馬氏原鯊齒鯨("Prosqualodon" marplesi),於2010年的研究中被認為實際上屬於懷佩什海豚科,並成立新屬且更名為馬氏奧塔克豚[2][3][4]。
